Failed Inspection. Need some help.

So I went to get my inspection 2 weeks ago. It failed. I put on headers and new o2 sensors. Took it back failed again. Now it's throwing a code for the EGR. I believe it's a p1404. But inspection report says the EGR is fine and dandy.

What it did say that failed was:

EVAP
o2 sensor HTR
Catalyst.

The car is a 99 firebird 3.8. Modified stock intake, Pacesetter headers, magnaflow hi-flow cat, and flowmaster 80 series muffler.

The inspection man told me if I can just get one of those to go away it will pass. So i'm think the o2 sensor will be the easiest fix. Can somebody please tell how to get rid of one of these problems. Thank you in advance for any help!!!!!!

I've taken off the egr and i see 1 hole and a little pin/valve?? Is that the valve that's having problems? Cause I can poke it up and down with no resistance.

if you have headers then you would have to buy an o2 sim for the after cat sensor.

egr.....i have one i'm selling for $40 bucks.

the evap is something with fuel i believe. Has your battery went dead lately ? sometimes if you fill up your tank and drive 50 miles the evap code goes away

I have headers and all four factory o2 sensors are working fine. ill bet the sensor with the htr bad is bank 2 sensor 1, which is in front of the cat anyway.

But i'm only throwing p1404 which is the egr. The car runs fine. Untul last night. I was just cruisin. All of a sudden get this real sweet almost chocking smell. So I pull over and pop the hood. Low and behold my radiator hole busted and now there's fluid everywhere under the hood. ARGH!!!!!

I meant to say hose.. I got it fixed today to the tune of 22.87. New hose and some fluid. and zpwn the temp. was normal all day.

Well car still won't pass inspection though. Any ideas? Why do I need a simulator behind the cat? It dosen't throw a code on a scanner or anything else. my parents are getting mader and mader as the days go by.

But I would like to add the car is running normal just won't pass emissions.

a side note. I raced a car exactly like mine 3 nights ago. 99 v6. Same color same everything. But his is stock. I never really knew how big of a difference my mods made to it till then. Started from 50 I got up to 95 and let off. He passed me about 5-6 seconds later at WOT. Anyway just thought I would share.

replace the gas cap. I failed for EVAP. it was sad. replaced the cap, failed again, got another and passed. lame.
