CAR barely starts...HELP

Ok...so...i was driving around fine one night everything was fine....I pull over by my friends and we talk for a lil.....as im talking i was pumping the brakes(i have ADD) so when i went to start my car it was dead........I had to jump it.......ever since that happen a couple nights ago...my car barely starts....it starts but barely.....last night i started it( the gauges didnt even work...thats how barely it started. WHAT COULD BE WRONG????!? it isnt starter motor...its brand new. Did i brake somthing by pumping the brakes?>

Bad battery? Bring it to an autozone or somewhere similar to have them test it. Make sure to test the alternator too.

brakes arent really connected to the electrical system so i would rule that out

i would agree with the battery. being that it was night and you probally had your headlights on and your ac blowing the constant flicking off and on of your brake lamps just amplified the drain on a bad battery. i would also agree to take it to an autozone or advanced auto parts and have them put it on the the machine to test the alternator as well. they can do it in the parking lot while the battery and alternator are still in the car and it is free.

haha he prolly meant that the brakes have nothing to do with the starting and charging system. i highly doubt the brake lights killed your battery unless you were holding them for a reeeaaaall long time. and if they did kill your battery, it was pretty close to dead then anyways.

when i drive it the battery doesnt charge....everytime i go to start after a couple of hours sitting it will barely start....ill go to autozone tommorw

im saying hitting the brakes on/off a whole bunch of times isnt going to cause an electrical problem, or really drain your battery for that matter. So the problem lies somewhere else

I was just going for the part where you said it was connected to the electrical system. No biggie.

battery might just need a good charge.

if it hesitates to start then it could be your fuel pump.. i had that problem. for some reason the battery would die when i would try to start it.. changed my fuel pump and it fixed it.
