i was wondering if you guys that have underdrive pulleys and are having low voltage problems have just the crank pulley or if you have the alt. pulley also. i was looking into it and was wondering if it would cause a problem , i have a 200W amp hooked into 2 truck wedges (in hatchback)and was wondering if it would be cause prolems with the alt and battery.
i have the Rksport set that's the crank and altenator(altenator one is actually a little bigger) and i was having lots of charging difficulties when at a stop, especially at night. i got tired of break torqueing at all the stops to keep my volts up(they would dip way into the orange and then my ABS light would come on) so i switched back to the normal one, and will only use the underdriven one when i go to the track.

i have the ASP UD pulleys but i only installed the crank pulley. you could get them cheaper at www.summitracing.com. with the just the crank, full charge is at 900 rpm. with both crank and alternator pulleys, full charge is at 1100 rpm.

The altenator actually should be bigger so it slows it down.

On my 3.4, i have both ASP crank and alt pullys on... If its at night with the lights and AC on, you will run the battery dead as a doornail in about 15mins of idling. Under normal driving conditions, i have no problems at all. I ended up getting the biggest AC delco battery that would fit in the car and that helped alot too. The volts will dip on a regular basis to 11-12v when stopped, but it doesnt effect the operation of the car and its been doing it like that for over a year now. The only thing i do not like is the fact that when turing at an intersection, the turn signals blink at the rate of one flash per 3-4sec with the low volts. Oh well, it also helped me get .3 faster in the 1/4mi

i have an 800watt amp running off of my battery, could i still install the underdrive pulleys and have no problems?????
