  • tell me how....

i have a 3.8l 98 camaro. what all in detail would i need to do to it to get it to run in the mid to high 11's? i know it sounds like a stretch but know it can be done somehow. but what would i need to add and modify to get it to run that fast?

You are gonna have to mod the hell out of it. Do a search, you will get way better info. I have they feeling if you have to ask, then you probably not the type to build a 11 sec car. Check out the timeslips page, and do some research on their mods, that is going to be your best bet. The fasted I know of is Magnus @ 12.394. Here is his mods:

    Cooling System
    Hypertech 160 Degree Thermostat

Supersix Motorsports Port & Polished Heads
    Trick Flow Pushrods
    Thrasher Springs/Locks/Retainers

    Exhaust
    RK Sport Headers
    3" Catalytic Converter + 3" S-Pipe
    B&B Tri-Flo 2.5" Intermediate Pipe, Quad Tips

    Fuel System
    Walbro 255 lt/hr In-Tank Pump
Autometer Fuel Pressure Gauge (100psi Full Sweep)
    Autometer Air/Fuel Ratio Gauge

    Ignition
    Taylor Spiral Pro Wires
    NGK TR55 Spark Plugs

    Induction
    SLP Cold Air Induction

Precision Industries 3300 Pump #8 Torque Converter
    TransGo Shift Kit Stage 3
    Corvette Servo
    B&M Transmission Cooler

    Tuning
    MAF Translator Plus

    Then lose some weight
    Passenger Seat 30.95 lb
    Back Seat 16.90 lb
    Rear Seat Belts
    Rear Flap 4.00 lb
    Glove Box 2.45 lb
    Spare Tire 27.30 lb
    Jack 8.55 lb
    A/C Unit 21.30 lb
    Air Condenser 8.40 lb
    1 Piece DS 10.00 lbs.
Front Sway Bar - Stock 00 V6 Sway Bar. 9.5 lb
    Front Bumper Support - 00 V6 Support 19.0 lb
    Rear Bumper Support - 00 V6 Support 19.5 lb

Then you are gonna have to find a way to drop .3
