Driving a hot Camaro, its not unusual to have friends who want you to "smoke them up" Ever since I got these new Fuzion HRi's my tires refuse to spin. Even pulling out of a parking lot or something with the wheel cut all the way in one direction i may get a small chirp but nothing more. Flooring it from a stop gives me a very violent shaking and loud noises. So tell me, is it just where my tires are new? Or is there something wrong?

If im pulling out of a parking lot with my wheel cut ALL THE WAY, i can burn mine for a few seconds. If im at a stop light on dry gound pointing straight, it will chirp. I dont know much about tires but mine are new yokahma yk420...i dont know if that spelling is correct. As long as the car runs and idles good i would not worry about it.http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2245261 Green 1997, 105k, all stock except for Z28 front springs, Air shocks in the rear, home made coolant recovery tank, home made battery hold down.

If you guys are running 245s or smaller and having trouble spinning the tires... something is going on with your car.-Eric
2000 NBM V6 Camaro 5-speed T-top converted
14.467@95.45mph $0 in mods
The member formerly known as MustangEater8251

If you have a M5, I'd replace the clutch. If an auto, I'd have it serviced. If there are no probs with the trans in general, I'd give the engine a full tuneup.
I got 275-40-17's (without a lot of mods) and I can STILL light the tires up with my V6!sigpic

Might want to check your transmission mount. Having one that's shot can hamper burnouts.1998 M5 3.8 Mystic Teal Camaro
Flowmaster exhaust, Pacesetter headers, 3\" cat, 3\" S-pipe, whisper lid, ram air, Spec Stage 1 clutch, Poly Trans mount, Walbro 255LPH. Ok, you guys are going to have to take in easy on me with the drivetrain lingo. I know a little about engines, but hardly anything about trannys.
What are LCA's. And yeah, if I could describe the violent shaking, I'd say it was "hopping". Where can I find the transmission mount?
It is an A4, btw. And i've had my suspicions about my tranny being tired...damn...maybe it is time.1998 Camaro V6 \"Black Mamba\"
Y87
Whisper Lid w/ K&N filter
Flowmaster American Thunder
Numerous appearance mods.
Car Domain

If you jack up a bit on your transmission, you will be able to tell if the piece mounting it to the cross-member (tranny mount) has failed. It should be all in one piece without any deep cracks.1998 M5 3.8 Mystic Teal Camaro
Flowmaster exhaust, Pacesetter headers, 3\" cat, 3\" S-pipe, whisper lid, ram air, Spec Stage 1 clutch, Poly Trans mount, Walbro 255LPH.
