  • VATS bypass

    i am having problems with my pass key system. I was reading this and it sounds like what i am going through. it does it to my like every other time. i dont have a sapre key. can i bypass it with a resistor on a 98 model. i am hoping it will. can anybody tell me how to check for the resistor i need.

    Your best thing probably would be to get an omega remote start bypass module and just hook it in to go on with the ignition, but yes you could just do a resisitor using the right amount of ohms

      how do i check for ohms can i just have the key and check

          you sure can bypass it with a resister from radio shack. Use a meter on the ohms setting, looks like an upside down U. Put your meter one each side of the chip in your key. My key reads 883...i think if i rember correctly. Take your ignigion out, and put that radio shack resister on each side of the pink wires. Your done.

                mine read 889. i didnt see any close so i put a 1-680 and 2-100 ohm resistors together and its worked fine. but i wired mine to teh plug under the dash not in the column. its was very simple and saved me some money. BYPASS COMPLETE. its working like a charm. Thanks for asll the help everybody.
