hey guys i have a problem with my 94 camaro 3.4 a4, first off i had it rebuilt about 5k miles ago and it has a comp cams 16.232 kit in it, 1.6 rocker arms, headers etc...well lastnight i was driving for about 20 minutes and it started idleing rough and at times wanted to die. at a stop with my foot on the brake it would want to jump forward and so when i was backing out of my friends drive way i put it in reverse and with no foot on the gas it started going itself even in drive it does. im not sure what it could be...im thinking fuel..clogged fuel filter? theres no light that comes on or anything. when i put it in park it idles really high, i dont hear any hissing in the engine like a vacuum leak. the temperature was normal, the oil pressure was jumping because the idle was rough probably. any help i would appreciate it guys, thanks.

Re: hey guys
I would guess the IAC too. Once my car (Cavalier) had a bad IAC and it could go 50 mph w/o me even touching the gas. Get one out of a junkyard.2002 Silver Firebird A4
T-Tops, Leather, Y87, W68, Chrome Wheels
Bone Stock

Re: hey guys
alright i bought a new iac valve and replaced and it still does it, if you rev it by the throttle body..the idle will stay high. also theres condensation smoke and smell coming from under the oil filter and by where the drivers side header connects to the y-pipe. the idle is all over the place but no smoke out of the tail pipes what so ever, and the oil level is fine. any ideas? could it be i need a tune for the cam and rocker and all the mods? i dont think its a big enough cam to effect that.Last edited by Camster44; 08-21-2008, 10:14 PM.
