  • Fan speed question

    Ok i got my switch installed today. When i have the switch on low speed both fans run on low speed. When i have the switch on hi speed only passanger fan runs on high speed, drivers side fan is off. Is this correct?

      You have it backwards. Low means only the one fan is running and High means both are running. Looks like you did a nice job with the install.

          what wires did you tap into?
          can you just buy a switch and tap into something or is there actually a control box or something?

            the only wires i tapped was the green and dirty blue color wires under the hood. when you put the blue or green wire to ground it brings the fans on.

              this mod cost my less then 7 dollars with wire, spdt switch, shilded connectors. and about an hour... took the longest to find a sutable location for the switch.

                where did you get the switch from, did it have a LED in the end by chance?

                and it goes back to normal operation right ?.. thats how you did it?

                  the switch i got from radio shack, but all auto parts sell the same switch. ITs called a spdt switch. Thats Single Pole, Dubble Throw. On the switch it will say ON-OFF-ON. put your ground wire on OFF, and one fan wire on ON and the other fan wire on the other ON. Look at my pics, i tryed to make it as simple as i could.
