Well, this is a hunch but Im a little pissed off. I used that engine restorer stuff on my last oil change. I got it for free and it said on engines with 40,000+ miles and Im at 66k so I didnt think it would hurt. Now heres my little problem, my oil pressure used to run at around 70 or so. Now its at 55 give or take, the car feels normal. But I have one of those timers in the car that tell you your 0-60 time and today (i noticed the oil pressure late last night) it ran .3 seconds slower. Not a big difference but for someone who wants more power its a big difference. BUT it is pretty humid and sticky feeling outside so Im also thinking it could be the weather. Any opinions?

We all told you not to use it. My buddy used it in his dodge and it clogged up the small oil ports and totalled his engine. Its not was never ment to be used in a decent running car. I would change my oil and filter right now...run the car a day and change the oil and filter again. you guys took to long to respond though, I read that like a day after I put it in. I just got my oil changed right now again, it seems to be fine but Im getting .2 - .3 seconds slower in my 0-60 time. This is the exact stuff http://www.restoreusa.com/restorer.html its not even mentioned in the link you guys gave me in the other thread.

personally ive ran that stuff thru engines that were in rough shape and it did seem to help some. I never had any issues with it but i've also never ran it in a good engine before. it is a little on the thick side so it could be adding rotational drag to your engine, which would cause a decrease in HP. you probably wont get it all out on the first oil change either if you are that concerned with gettin rid of it. why did you use it in the first place if your car ran fine to begin with?Phill<br /><br />95 camaro... need money for turbo project... <br />94 S10 Blazer - winter beater - infinity system to be installed soon<br /><br />\"The man who says it cant be done should not interrupt the man doing it...\"

well it said on engines with 40k miles you were "guaranteed" to notice an increase in power. Having basic knowledge in engines I know that you get little dents and dings in the cylinders so I didnt think it would hurt. I ran it a few times and its giving me up to .4 seconds improvement in my 0-60 and sometimes its like .2 or .3 seconds slower. It doesnt feel any different though, idles fine everything is fine. Just I see in the oil pressure gauge that its lower then usual. My buddy said that it probaly cleaned out some debris in my oil port and it returned to a normal oil pressure. The stuff its self isnt thick at all. Almost like a soda can. Ill probaly change the oil tomorrow again just to be safe.

My buddy ran some of that Slick 50 stuff through his oil in his Ranger for a while and it made him lose oil pressure and clog the filter and ****, my father used that restore stuff in his '85 Toronado and it also messed with the pressure and stuff. I'd stay away from all the oil additives. I do run the pre flusher every one in a while though with no problems.

found this, seems like the stuff I buy isnt bad at all http://www.atvconnection.com/atvconn...e-Restorer.cfm before my oil pressure gauge was only a quarter away from reaching 120. Now it sits right under 60 and when ever I gun it, its at 60 flat. I think it actually worked and it cleaned out little debris from my engine.

Ummmm. and how do you think this product repairs those dents and dings in the cylinders? Your car SHOULD be running right around 60 psi. 120 psi is WAY too high.
