  • p1514

Ok guys, I was trying to make it out to TA nationals today, and my car stalled out. I took it and had the code read and it's a p1514. I think this is either TPS or MAF related and I wanted some input on what I should do.

I'm going to clean the TB tomorrow and I'm also gonna cleant he MAF sensor. Doy ou think I should replace the tps and see if this fixes everything?

My car has proper fluids etc, and it just stalled when it got hot. It would run really crappy and idle at about half load. I let it sit for 4 hours and it ran fine for the most part.

    Re: p1514

sounds familiar, I think I had that code last week. Mine was Throttle Output action differs from Input command. I was running crazy lean during start up, and actually chocked out. I let it sit for a minute and it started fine.
Is your car Drive by wire? I know what a bad MAF can do, and tends to be worse as it gets hot. if it idles badly, unplug the MAF and if it clears up, your MAF is bad. I tried Reman MAF sensors, 5 out of 5 did not work properly, they gave me a new one at no extra cost.. problem solved.
