Okay - I'll be honest and say I've looked through every book I have here and I can't find out how to disconnect the neck from the valve cover.

If someone out there knows how to do this, please post so I can add it to my library.

(and I want to paint my covers some day) ;)

I cracked mine while learning how. It rotates counterclockwise, then lifts out. At least it does now... :)

About an 1/8 of a turn.
