I'm reviving this thread to warn others who use this method. Even with a gatorback and larger tensioner pulley this setup is still not sufficient enough to keep proper tension on the belt when it does AND WILL loosen up a bit. I'm not sure but I want to blame this setup on my water pump failure. It hasn't gone yet luckily, so I'm switching to a new belt route with the idler pulley changed to a grooved one which will hopefully provide enough pressure for the tensioner from the slack in the serpentine belt that naturally increases.
