  • Half inch of fustration

The window motor in my 2000 Camaro went bad and got stuck with the window slightly off where it should be with a half inch gap by the mirror. No big deal, right? So I get a new motor from autozone and put it in with no problem.

Now my window goes up and down fine, except it seems to be slightly off and still won't go up past that gap. I've searched the forums but couldn't find anything to quite match this. Is the regulator bad, or is it just off the track some how?

Thanks in advance for any information.

I got the same problem but Im gonna fix it with some black silicone good bye gap

I have changed my regulator and window motor and I also bought the kit that makes your window go up faster and it still didn't get rid of the gap I even tried rolling it up with the door open so silicone will fix the problem Im 100% sure will be doing it today or tomorrow good luck silicone cost about 10 bucks from o reilly and it will match your weatherstripping

Thanks Michael, I think that is exactly what I need. I'll have a chance on Wednesday to try it out and I'll report back on how it went.

            Lol at Archer. :)

I've improved it alot thanks to that meet. There is still a slight gap but I'm pretty sure that is because the parts of the fiberglass that some of the bolts are connected to is worn. Probably because of dumb *** passengers closing the door with the window.
