Sounds like you need to fix the water getting in there first before anything, I had to use some silicone under the cowl to fix my leaks. I was getting misfires when going though the car wash, after siliconing it, no more misfires. It doesn't matter if your running MSD 8.5mm wires with super coils , If water is getting in it is going to misfire. Fix the water getting in first.

Are you using the OE metal boot covers? If you are...remove them. It wouldn't hurt to load them with some dielectric grease inside the terminals.

are you sure you don't have an Elle T. Juan?

goop the inside of the boot & the plug tips.

You can use the Pertimex(spelled wrong I know) black silicone, I pulled the cowl off, washed off all the dirt. Then just where the outline of the metal goes on the car put a small bead of silicone, let it dry. Then the black weather stripping I ran a small bead across that, or I ran it under it , don't remember. But It came out fine, never had anymore misfires or any spots of water on the engine.
