When i was on my way home from work tonight it was cool outside and there was fog on my windows so i turned on the rear defrost and noticed that only the middle third of it was working.. The top 5 lines didnt work, the middle 7 did, and the bottom 6 didnt work... It was probably on for about 10mins but still only the middle section was working..
Any ideas on why this is happening or how to fix it??
Sounds like the grid is broken. The lines that run across the window. Check to see if the grid is ripped or torn near those areas where it doesn’t work. If everything is fine there, check the ground.
You can get some stuff that you paint on to fix the grid wires. You'll have to get a multimeter (preferably with a continuity function) and find where the break is. Then just a dab of the paint and you are good to go.
