I have a 98 3.8 with 174k miles in my Camaro. There is this little hose that connects to the passenger side of the throttle body. I'm guessing it's a vacuum hose of some sort, but I'm not entirely sure.
The other day, the hose slid off from the throttle body and I didn't realize it. The car was borderline undrivable and the engine wanted to die. The hose is back on now and everything has been fine for a couple of weeks, but the part of the hose that connects to the throttle body is cracked and I'm worried it might fall off again. The vacuum suction holds it on there, but if it fell off once I'm guessing it could do it again.
Since I'm not looking to put money in the car, I'm debating using a tiny amount of JB weld as some insurance to keep the hose from coming off again. If it turns out the hose is cheap and easy to replace, then maybe I'll just do that.
