    mine was loud enough to the point when i drove with the noise everyone on the streets would look at my car

    how many miles are on your car?

      My buddy had the same issue at around 120k on his 99 v6, he was running 5w though. Changed his oil back to 10w and added a little lucas oil stabilizer and he hasn't had any other problems out of the lifter he had knocking.
