Whats up board,

My driver side door has been sagging for a while now, I always figured that it was the hinge or something to do with it. Never really looked at it. But now I have the extra money and figured that I would go ahead and fix it. So I finally looked at it and come to find that it is not the hinge in general but the door. It has a crack in it running up beside the lower door hinge about 1/4"-1/2" long that is causing the door to sag. My question is: Is there anyway to fix this besides buying a whole new door? Thanks in advance for your help.

Have a piece of 1/8" steel welded over the top of the crack. You'll have to find a bodyshop that can do it though...

If the fiberglass door shell is cracked, no fix except for a new door. It can be repaired, but at a cost and time greater than swapping over.

You can prob swap the door skin and everything else onto the new door shell and not have to worry about painting or trim or anything. Just the inside edges won't be painted to match.

Yes it is the fiberglass that is cracked. so welding is not an option
