My FPR has gone bad. Before I start prying at things, how exactly do those come out? Screw? Press in? I don't have the new one just yet but I imagine when I see it I'll understand. I'd like to get a little heads up though.

Re: FPR replacement
Just replaced mine earlier today actually.
Once you get the fuel rail off the FPR is held into the rail with a C-Clip. Once the clip is out it just pulls out and the new one pushes in.
Probably took me an hour today. That was working at a steady slow pace, wasn't in a rush. Was easy, just pull the alt, unbolt the coilpack tray, remove MAP, unhook fuel lines, unbolt rail and pull.

The snap ring faces the firewall and there isnt much room to reach back there. Im not saying its impossible, but it may take you half the time to remove the rail than it would to fight it without removing it. The rail is very easy to remove anyway.sigpic

Re: FPR replacement
Yeah, F that. That's a heavy clip in there.. and without being able to see where the holes are.. psh, i poked it once with my finger then pulled the fuel rail. Took me more than an hour, with a gf blabbin in my ear and I had to improvise some extensions since all of mine seem to have disappeared. Hmm I also had to run to the store. Whateva, it's done.
Now tomorrow's project is to pull out the laptop and find out why I have a SES... ugh...OH I know! lmao it just came to me, I totally didn't plug the MAP sensor back in.
