Today on the highway on my way to work my check engine light came on, the light comes on after being at high speeds and then braking or slowing down. All gauges read normal. Popping the hood I can't see a problem other than some hot air blowing from the engine. I also have noticed that my air conditioning is on when I have the switch on off. The air comes out of the windshield vent and down at the foot pedals. I can control the heat of the air with the AC panel. If anyone knows of anything or has experienced something similar please let me know. My cars a 95 maro with the 3.4L.
Thanks!
mine does the same thing, i hooked up a scanner and all 3 egr codes were on there.
replace the EGR with a new or used but working one, and clean out the passage ways (including the one inside the upper intake plenum) sometimes they are filled with carbon.
