when i had my V6, if i was just around the city, i'd shift at around 2200-2500 rpms. getting up and moving, i'd shift at at least 3000. Just really depends on flow of traffic and mood.

Don't worry too much about it though. I found that weather i shifted high or low, kept the foot in it or out of it, drove hard or easy, i always got within 2mpg every fill up. (during the non winter months). I always got a mix of 24-26, unless it was pure highway.

Nobody likes an @sshole, unless its on a hot blonde girl who's open to experimentation. I've got a 3.4, but I usually shift at around 3k, but depending on what I'm doing (getting around traffic, merging onto highways..) I go to about mid-4k.

You should be able to listen to when you should shift, but around 3k is about right.
