  • help me choose an alternator

    look here at my choices

first off, i dont want an alternator from oreilly's cause they are remanufactured. i want a new one. so.....

1: are the alternators from fttp.net new?
2: part number PM-3.8NATNA seems to be just anormal replacement. would this be ok?
3: part number PM-3.8NATNA is coated for better heat disipation. does anyone know if its worth it? i kind of want to polish it before putting it on so its shinny but if i get this one, i wont.
4: part number PM-3.8XSNAT is adjustable for different batteries and PM-3.8XSHC is also and coated. is it worth it to get these? i probably will be putting in a racing battery but not for years when this car becomes a full racing car. is it worth it? i dont think so but iw ant you guys opinions.

the autozone duralast gold is supposedly 'all new parts'. limited lifetime warranty as well. its usually easy enough to find an autozone.

Yes, the Powermaster alternators are all new. They take 4-6 weeks to get to the customer because they are made to order. Just a little FYI.
