for the trouble of a motor swap, why not just do a v8?

its funner with a 6. it would be unique, different. a vortec 4.3l is a big bad motor. great v8 sound.

speedomotive.com has the 4.3 stroker kits, I found this at ls1-lt1.com. I called them and they don't have a stroker kit for 3.8 and their 4.3 stroker kits are all carb, you would need to get intake, sensors, ecm, and other parts to conver to fully FI engine.

Its a big PITA to do something like that...and plus how are you going to fit the 4.3's high rising F/I systems in there (either CPI or TBI)?

Its got a SBC block on it...you might as well drop in an LT1...or LS1 for that matter.

it would be sweet, but sy/ty motors are hard to find..
youd need a lt1 crossmember & motor mounts,v8-90* v6 mount adapter (there is a place to get these, but I don't remeber off the top of my head) and a v8 style tranny.

the st/ty 4.3 and the vertical tb cpi 4.3 should fit in a 4th gen fine
