Is this the right way the boots should fit in the sparks, or the sparks should be inserted all way through the metal terminal of the boot.

It needs to go down more. It should make a "click" noise when it's inserted all the way

*Edit* It also looks like that would be the coil side of the wire

The sparks are already installed, the car is working great but I have my doubts if I did it right. I tried to do it the way you say but the boot terminal is too narrow. It may need plyers to make it wider.

Those are completely the wrong boots...

when he said "coil side" he was referring to the coilpack. and those are even wrong for our coils.

Which universal kit did you get? did it come with an assortment of boots, or did you get a universal length kit with one kind of boots?

those are what you should look for...

yea that does not look right. The boots would be longer and click in place.

I have took my time to search the right MSD ones. Some guys say something, others say a different thing. I am sorry cause those red wires look nice in my red car, but probably I will get rid of the MSD trouble, and try Bosch ones (direct fit).

If I were you I'd just buy the correct boots and install them onto the MSD wires that you have rather than buying a another set.

There are MSD ones that are made for our cars.

                        www.gvperformance.com have them

99+ set comes as a straight boot, the 95-98 sets come with 90* boots. So specify when you order what style you want

The straight boot do not fit, my car is a 99' with headers. It must to be 90* And I didn't find anything for 95-98.
