• Engine Size?

Does anyone know exactly how big of an engine I can fit into the engine compartment w/o having to move things around, etc.?

Thanks, in advance, for any help w/ this subject.

[Ugh... sorry about the double post.]

That is still a small block that doesn't make it a 7.0 just because you bore and stroke it. That only increases Cubic inches not liters.

Must be because of using SAE measuring equipment, instead of using that dang metric stuff.... ;)

Blue Flame V6, do you know what the cubic inches and liters values are measuring? They measure the diplacement of an engine. They both measure the same thing, one is in SI units, the other is in english units. Can't change one without the other :D

Stock LS1
346in^3*(1L/61.0237 in^3) = 5.67L ~ 5.7L
427
427in^3*(1L/61.0237in^3) = 6.997L ~ 7L

i'm sure you could get a 502 in there if you used a sledge hammer and some ky jelly. :D

Ha ha, KY Jelly. I remember seeing a 502 in a Camaro in a magazine. It didn't put up that great of numbers because it couldn't get any traction with the tires they had on it. You would definately have to have racing slicks. They had to totally redesign and relocate everything under the hood though. Way more than you would have to do for a LS1 based motor without that much of a performance increase for a Street Car.
