For those of you who have removed the engine brackets....where did you relocate your coil packs to? or how did you mount them....I know the bracket has an arm that holds the plate that contains the ICM and coil packs....also if you could provide pictures of what you guys did as well it would help....

        Re: relocating coil packs

I got rid of the bracket that has an arm that goes to the front. That's just open now, the coils are still held in from the bracket by the valve cover. I've never had any problems with it that way.

the coils are held by one bolt that is attached to the lift brackets? how did you get rid of that and have them still over the valve cover?

            Re: relocating coil packs

IIRC, there's also one that goes around the valve cover, bolts into the block and then has 2 studs coming up that the coil mount goes on. That's all I have holding mine on.

97rs4life I actually really like that....how did you manage to keep that up there? did you drill into the firewall? Is that safe?

yes I used a bracket and attached it to the firewall, then attached the coil packs and ICM

did you have to tune for it to go away, or did you just take it out?

Your firewall then dash wiring and such. A small sheetmetal screw is fine. Bracket is a 90* corner bracket found at any local hardware store
