i have a v6 97 firebird. its leaking water coolant from under the intake. i wanted to know what could it be, and how to fix it. will i have to take out the motor just to fix it? Again the leak is under the intake and above the water pump. here are some pictures so you guys know what im talking about.

cracked coolant elbow that runs in that location. It is a black elbow that usually snaps on people when they remove their intakes. $5 at the local autozone

Not sure if you got this done or not but here's what I remember.
Disconnect battery.
Take your serpintine belt off.
Take alternator off.
Take belt tensioner assembly off and you'll see the elbow you'll have to replace.
Now replace the elbow and reassemble everything.
