  • What can be seen from under the inspection plate?

Hey just wondering what you can see when you remove the torque converter inspection plate. i have a weird rattle like keys jingleing from under there and after getting under the car it sounds like its coming from the end of the starter where the inspection plate covers it,i was also wondering if you could tighten up the torque converter bolts if they were lose from under there?

You can tighten the converter bolts from there but there is nothing in there to cause the rattle. Look at the stock crossover pipe for the rattle.

If your flexplate is cracked, you will get that noise,so don't rule it out

That is generally a knocking sound for a cracked flex plate or loose converter bolts. You do get a rattle when the inner pipe breaks loose from the outer on the stock exhaust cross over.

There must be somthing to cause a rattle/tap in there cause it is definitly rattleing, i had my ear up to it. It seems to go with the rpms too,but its more of a jingle than anything. Can the flexplate bolts be tightened from there to? and could the starter gear be contacting the flexplate after its suppose to disengage? The noise almost sounds like when the ac compressor bearings were gone on my other car,it was like jingleing, almost as if the pully was overlapping itself, if that makes sense to yas?

You can get to all of that from there.
