OK i did a little researching but I want to hear opinions from people that actually use one of these on their fbodys.

I am thinking about getting one of these for my old man for christmas. He has a 95 v6 for a summer car and has been having problems with it for a year now. Keeps getting check engine lights that come and go but autozone cant read them. Im sure its because of the ODBI/ODBII hybrid in the 95s.

My question: Does this unit read log codes and active codes or just active codes? If it is just active codes then I am not going to waste the money.

when your car throws a code, unless the problem is fixed the code will stay in the pcm's memory bank.

when i scanned my code there were a number of codes that had been there for some time.

read this if you haven't already and let me know if you have any more Q's.
