my fuel gauge jumps around once it gets around 3/4 of a tank or so and is impossible to tell how much fuel is in the tank, so what would i need to fix to make it work?

Re: Fuel Gauge
I have the same problem, and im sure most everyone has this problem with the stock system, my friend had a completely new system tank, lines and all, that solved it, but honestly, i've just got a feel not sure how long youve had your car, but on mine, at 3/4 i have about 5 gallons left, and i get about 14 miles per gallon the way i drive, all city. hope that helps a little.

Re: Fuel Gauge
When mine reads a 1/4 of a tank , I know from driving it 13 years it has about 5 gallons left , this is with a 15.5 gal. tank. So the only way I would think to have it more accurate is to put an electric fuel pressure sensor in the tank and have its own gauage. But if you know your car and know what spot the needle is at and how many gallons it has left you should be fine. Also keep track of your miles you have driven after each fill up.08' L76 6.0L 4X4 Chevy EXT.Cab LTZ Vortec MAX with Snug top cover, Dynomax exhaust,Hptuners& K&N intake

when my fuel gauge is on E (actually, a little bit below the red mark) i have around 2 gallons left
it sometimes scares me driving with the needle BELOW the E mark, but i have put 13.7gallons in my tank before.. i know it doesnt seem like anything to brag about but im su the pump was ready to start sucking up air.. especially with it being so hilly/comming to stop signs, etc.

Re: Fuel Gauge
well my tank holds a little over 16 gallons, and it will jump from empty to full the entire time i drive , right now i just filled up and only have 40miles since i filled up and it jumps from a little above 3/4 to passed the full mark, so idk, it kinda scares me because it will go passed empty and so i think im about to run out of gas , then jump back to full talk

only thing i can say is to try putting some fuel injector cleaner in there, maybe it might help
if that doesnt work, you can either replace it, or just use your trip and fill up every 200 miles or so
