  • what do you think?

i bought a 2001 pontiac firebird in june 2007. i bought the car with 49k miles on it, only 1 owner. it has 3.42 gear ratio. power everything. ttops. all scheduled maintnence has been done. i just hit 59k miles. it is completely stock except for a magnaflow dual catback exhaust system with 3" piping and 3.5" outlets. the car is cleaned inside an out about every 2 weeks and there arent any chips or dings. i have recently been thinkin about selling it for a nissan titan cc but its hard to let go of..what do you guys think? would 59k miles be considered low miles?

$5500-$6500 at best depending on where you are located.

Just curious..how much did you buy it for?

Why do you want to get rid of it? 59k is quite low.

i bought it for just under 11k. but my parents added A LOT of warrenties to it and i bought it from a dealer so add the taxes, etc.. and it came out to 18k total. i really dont want to get rid of it but i am always drivin people around and its hard to fit friends and family in the backseats. so i figured i would just buy a truck. i think it would be better for me in the longrun.

Wow man that is very pricey. I bought mine in march 2007 for $8000 with 45k miles. I thought that was expensive. Then again I don't have any warranties, and I've put about a grand into repairs since I've had the car.

I know it does suck about the limited room and its a pain in the ***. I just use it as an excuse so I don't have to drive my friends around....

wow that was a good buy. yeah unfortunately i couldnt sign at all because i was only 16, so my parents pretty much took control even though i'm paying for all of it. although those warrenties have saved me a lot of money in repairs in the past year. and i usually use that as an excuse too i don't like driving many people around. i probably wont get rid of it, i love it.

                    Re: what do you think?

well it's not like a local shop or anything like they. they are actually all over the u.s. i believe the hood is just metal, not sure though. my friend replaced both fenders on his camaro for about $30 a fender, and they are pretty nice.

                      Re: what do you think?

I got lucky and found mine on ebay for $250. Luckily the sellers was rather local so I didn't have to worry about shipping.

Go take a look at the hood and see if it is of good quality.

11k for a v6 firebird. Glad I lvie in MA, picked up mine with 49k miles for 5500

Keep the bird, you put allot of money into it and it sounds damn nice. Trade it for a titan? Do you need to haul lumber or quads? If not then whats the point? just to get 14mpg

haha yup. i dont have to much money to put into it but i am gradually going to try to get some stuff. as for the titan, i have a quad but i most likely wouldnt be hauling anything else around. i think it would be pointless for me to get one. other than the fact that i could haul around my quad and anything else if needed, and i could actually fit more than 2 people it in.

I hate fitting more then 2 people, the ride is rough. Im not sure if this applies for you, but fortunately i can barrow my parents truck if I need to go quading. If thats not an option, then maybe a truck would be a good route. Dodge rams are selling for dirt cheap right now........
