  • broken manual window?

I'm having a problem rolling down my driver side window when it is cold outside....but only when it is cold outside, and only on the way down...the way up is fine. The windows are manual....anyone else have this problem or know what could cause this...I would just pull the door off and investigate but it's flippin cold out there, and I don't have a garage I can work in at the moment.....

    Re: broken manual window?

mine does this every once in a while, then it will quit, then it will start doing it again

is it hard to go down the whole way, or only 1/4 to 1/2 the way?

Try spraying some silicone lubricant (a lot of it) into the tracks and see if that helps. It can't hurt.

it will be hard for like 2 full rotations, then be ok for like 2-3, then be hard for another 2-3, then ok again....all the way....but absolutly no problems going up... I have to really muscle it down...feels like something wants to break.

In order to spray the tracks I need to take the door apart...which I want to avoid if I can until it gets warmer (like spring time) or until I do my cam swap in a few months when I have a garage to work in....it's like -15*C out there now...freeze my balls off just walking to the car...
