  • WTF...Still misfire code after new wires, plugs and coils?

I replaced coils, put TR6 plugs in, and MSD wires and I still get a flashing misfire code.I dont actually feel it misfireing though. I had the ignition control module tested too and it was good. What else could cause a misfire?

I am not sure, you have anything like MSD? What about MAF+ would that affect it in anyway?

does anyone agree with me and say cylinder pressure is to high, so coils are 2 weak or wires just arent carrying enough. he didnt have misfire codes at 7psi.

when I said msd I was asking if you have an aftermarket MSd igniton setup... the 10 psi could be the problem... though of upgrading teh coils?

Shane... i went through wits end trying to track down a misfire. What finally fixed the problem was a single poor connection. The plug wire was arcing to the block. It was not obvious in any way. People mentioned it to me on this board as well. Eventually when i ran out of other things to do I took off every boot and added dialetric grease to each boot and plug put them back on and my problem was fixed.

Maybe this could be your problem. Since your problem seems to only occur under very specific circumstance though I am probably barking up the wrong tree.

maybe youshould just swap in that new built up block already.

when i had a misfire a while ago.. i changed everything. .EVERYTHING except fuel pump. Turns out it was a stuck valve.
