is there some sort of mechanisim under the console that is integrated with all the shift column stuff that doesn't let you put the key tumbler into "lock" position until the car is in park, and if so what is it? I was cleaning out my car and i pulled the console out to get all the coke syrup out of it, and when i put it back in, i couldn't get the key to return to the "lock" position to pull the key out. I have to force it. any ideas? thanks.
