i just bought a shorter serpentine belt so that i could bypass my a/c compressor. now, the tensioner doesn't really make much of a difference tension-wise, so i have to put this thing on without its help. any ideas of how to get this done? i have a 3.4 L, and i bought a 685k6 b/c i saw some other people had used this.

i wanted to do this cuz my compressor sounded like it was going to sieze any minute, and i didn't want it to happen while i was driving. i didn't want to replace the compressor, since i barely ever use my a/c and it should be getting colder anyways. i wound up trying a few different sized belts, but i couldn't find one that fit, so i brought it into my mechanic and he hooked me up with one. i think it something around 69".i\'m not an ambiturner.
