ok 96 3.8 5 speed recently fixed a missing problem (car gremlins unpugged #4 injector and cracked #5 plug) car been running fine then started going dead when you let off the throttle like stopping at a red light so i just quit stopping now when you accelerate not just w.o.t when i gets to 3500-4000 acts like it hits a rev limiter and chokes big time so ideas....? other than gallon of gas and match already considered that not enough insurance coverage.

Coil packs? Full tune up, change all wires and plugs? Sea foam? Dirty Injectors?

          Start with the basics.

just had a brain fart would an exhaust leak at the manifold cause this? because the night it started doing it i bottomed it out playing dukes of hazard(not literally) on a dirt road and broke on of the bolts connecting the pipe to the manifold and i havent fixed it yet due to the fact i ve got to drill it out and all that business not a terrible exhaust leak mind you but.....?

I would not think so, but I guess it is possible. Has it had this issue since the rebuild or did it run ok aftere the rebuild?

no this is a recent development it had amiss for a while as stated above but i fixed it ran fine for a while then started this fixed the exhaust leak thought maybe it was throwing my o2 sensors of but it changed nothing sounds better but still falls on its face during acceleration

go to a dealer and have them put a scanner on the computer. and have the mechanic watch the outputs of the motor as it climbs through the RPM's. that should tell you whats going wrong.
