would a cracked oil pan cause my temperature gauge to go up and down more frequently? Basically less oil =higher operating temp?

Is a 1 inch crack on a windshield fixable without getting a new windshield?

If I want to add oil to my car,"since i have a leak and not the money to get my aftermarket crap off to fix it" would I add it to where the dipstick is?

Also, to see how much oil is in the engine, do i check the dipstick when the car is running or not.. i assume not, but just asking..

I know alot about cars on paper, but not the physicality of it.. thx

I'm not sure, but I would assume no. Oil doesn't cool your engine it lubticates. As you drive around town (in stop and go driving) your temp gauge will go up and down cause the engine gets hotter while ideling and cools off as you drive and air is blowing across the radiator.

if its a full crack then your screwed

ther is a cap on top of the engine that says OIL on it put it in there

the engine needs to be hot so drive it around the block a few times then shut it off and check it.

For checking the oil, if the engine's warm, give it a few minutes to let the oil drain down, otherwise oil's still all over the inside of the engine.
