  • A4 almost stalls when going into drive?

for awhile now, i've had times when i shift from either Park to OD or Reverse to OD it almost stalls. anyone know why? after i shift and before i step on the gas the car feels like it dies and the RPM's drop, along w/ the oil and battery gauges. if someone could tell me why its doing this once in awhile or if its just common and nothing to worry about, i'd appreciate it. thanks.

Don't go buying stuff yet. Try cleaning the throttle body and IAC pintle. These things regularly need cleaning. just get some Top Engine Cleaner and a toothbrush and clean out the throttle bore and blade and rinse it with some carb spray. Also remove the IAC and clean the pintle tip.
