ok after spending all day with my engine torn apart cleaning and replacing the seals on my intake phleum when i got the car back together it idles very high (1500rpm) and its missing. i don't see an ses light so i can only figure the computer hasn't detected the misfire. also there is an off smell i cant quite identify its not gas or oil ( burnt or) unburnt.
it looks like everything is back properly and the high idle was from me opening the throttle stop screw to far. i moved it back and its idling normal again.
its still running rough and im seeing puffs of white smoke that dissipate very quickly out of the exhaust tip
*edit it apears the #6 injector didnt seat fully so im going to pull the rail and try to re-seat them

update when you can, but if the smoke goes away quickly i woulndt worry, thats normal.
if the smoke is thicker, and lingures you might have a problem, but it doesnt seem like it.
but so you know, blue smoke is oil, white is anti-freeze, black is fuel.
edit: if you think you have a vac. leak, get a can of carb cleaner and spray where you think it is, if the idle calms down then the leak is where you sprayed.

well it turns out my idle was from the throttle plate being to far open and some how along the line i damaged the injector for the #2 cylinder. the entire lower runner was full of gas. the smoke i thing was the large amount of carb cleaner and carbon that came from the 2 manifolds. Its all good now, injector fixed and its running smooth again
