    I have run the MSD 8.5's for the last 8 years with no coils going out, so I would say the less resistance the better. Now if I was going through coils, than I would give it another thought, but my coils have held up fine, this is in AZ where it gets to 115-120 degrees outside, so the engine bay would be alot higher.
