    When I checked it before the pressure was holding steady. You are right my 3.4 is not in a camaro it's in my Jeep Cherokee. I am using a fuel pump that came in the 1988 Cherokee I6 4.0L.

      jeep runs less fuel pressure as low as 35 psi you need bare min of 45psi

        can you tell me where you found that info, because my pump puts out more than 35 psi constantly.

          what you really need to do is get it scanned now that it's got a code. then you won't waste all your money guessing.

            my fuel pump started dying in november output droped to 30psi at idle and 35psi at wot performance idle and fuel economy went in the crapper if you have inadiquet fuel pressure the system just wont function properly

              obd1 sucks for codes and could just lead you in usless circles

                first off bud, it's obd 1.5 if you want to be specific. Secondly, no they aren't that hard to read if you know what your doing and have the code sheets (haynes/chiltons manual) heck you can even find the code readouts online.

                and btw, that scanner i suggested earlier, lets you stream live data, you know for FUEL PUMP VOLTAGE and things like that so you can see if it is in fact your pump taking a crap. :tup:
