My heat went out a few days ago. It was working fine when it started making a very faint noise on the highest setting. I turned it down one setting and it went away so I left it. A few minutes later my car was cold and the vent was blowing out normal air (not cold, just normal). Whenever I accelerate the air blows out very hot like normal but then quickly dies down once I let off the throttle. Anyone know what this could be?

Re: Heat blows at high rpms.
try flushing your heater core out and see if it helps.

Re: Heat blows at high rpms.
mine did that, and shortly there after my car overheated and cracked both heads. $1200 (gaskets, heads, 1.9 rockers, LS6 springs, radiator, hoses, water pump) later, i found the culprit, my water pump didnt have a single fin left.
but first, as stated above, flush the heater core. then check for flow.Team NoVa

Re: Heat blows at high rpms.
find your alternator and right below that are two hoses that have white things on them that say turn and pull.
Turn and pull to get the hoses off and stick a water hose in one and let it flow till it runs clear.Team NoVa
