im getting a maf and throttle position sensor code and have a high idle when the codes are going off, somtimes its there and somtimes not,my mechanic scanned it and told me these were the codes so im not sure exactly what they are, they were in the history so he couldnt tell what was wrong, the only other drivability problems are a surging when accelerating in overdrive , it surges/hicups until i floor it and then it downshifts, which one of these sensors could effect the shifting or cause this problem?? or could it be both??

Re: throwin codes somtimes?
If it were ME, I'd replace the cheaper one first...which is the TPS.
Sux because I recently cleaned out my garage and threw out a perfectly good MAF for the 95-97 3800 series f-body's.
Although, I don't know what year and engine you have.
[edit]Ooops, nvm!sigpic

Re: throwin codes somtimes?
yeah it does suck. when i was out today i was tappin the sensors to see if i could get an irregular idle from one of them but got nothing and when i got back in the car it seemed to idle better and reved more smoothly, it jus sounded better overall, im gonna replace the tps and the iac cause i think i can get a cheap one.then ill go from there. how much for a maf??
