    How do i change the tps, just take the old one out and put the new one in,or is there more to it??

    From what I remember, there are two torx screws that have to be removed and then there is a certain tension that the sensor has to be placed under.

    When you remove your old one, just try to see which way to put the new one in. If it's wrong, you'll know it because the engine will rev up to about 4k when you start it up. If it does this, just turn the engine off (duh), remove the TPS again and reverse the tension.

    Your old TPS may even turn slightly once you remove the screws. Just put the new one on and place it under the same tension load.

      i didnt think it could be removed, at least on DBW cars

        On 98 and older V6 cars it can be changed.

          i really dont think it can, unless you're thinking of the MAF. I know when the actuator in my tb failed, i had to buy a whole new tb. The actuator/tps was housed in the same spot. I i couldnt find anyone who sold the part.

            All sensors on the 98 and older throttle bodies are available and can be changed. They are cable driven, not drive by wire. 99 was the first year for DBW.
