My tensioner pulley flew off and the bolt cracked in half. I thought this was a bit odd. I got it fixed but I do not know what could have caused it. Any ideas?

That sucks. Sounds like the bolt got fatigued. Hopefully the new bolt will hold up better. Now that it's fixed I wouldn't worry about it. I think that's a pretty rare occurrance.

Exactly. I got a brand new assembly so its good for another 8-10 years or so. Works like new.

pulley locked up and took the bolt out with it. Pulley was making quite a bit of noise probably before it went I am guessing
