  • ASR / TCS wiring?

I posted this in electronics about 4 days ago and haven't gotten a response, so I thought I'd post here.

A while back when I installed my power antenna, I noticed that on the back of the bezel around the radio, I have the wiring in the spot where the TCS switch would be, but my car didn't come with that option. My dad was in the car with me and said I should put a button there, even if it doesn't do anything just so you can push it (joking around as he poked at the blank thing). It got me wondering - what does that wiring go to on the other end? I wouldn't expect it to be easy enough to just get the TCS switch, plug it in and have it, but what else would I need to do to get this option?

I don't have a digital camera, but if you want to see pics of what I'm talking about, I might be able to borrow the one at work tomorrow for a few minutes to snap some quick pictures.

    Thanks,
    Rob

i have wondered about this. i am fairly certain that tcs (for the v6 atleast) does not reside in the pcm. i am fairly sure its part of the abs computer. when abs detects wheel slippage/spinning it ask the pcm for less power (and the pcm handles this via the fly-by-wire electronic throttle body). i believe this is what the 'requested/delivered torque' lines on the pcm are used for.

i need to look at some wiring diagrams this seems to be the case.
