    I have a problem again...

I was checking the fluids this morning, then went to turn the car on and got the low oil light.

But when I checked the oil the dipstick showed full. Oil change was about 300 miles ish ago.

Also the car runs fine, no knocking/ticking just idle noise and gurgling from airbox.

But if there is oil in the engine and the engine is running fine, then is it the oil pump? What are signs that the oil pump is out?

Also can i drive around right now? Or not recommended?

    Thanks

    Re: low oil light

it's probably your oil level sensor. it is located on the side of the oil pan. what oil pressure is your gauge showing?

ok so it is around 60psi? your oil pump is fine then. it's probably just your oil level sensor.

The sensor is real easy to replace, I did mine about a month ago , because it was leaking through the sensor. I used some sealant around the new one because it was plastic and waited over night to let it dry. Worked out very good no more leaks. Good luck to ya.

Yeah it sounds pretty easy. where did you get the sensor from do you have part number for gmpartsdirect.com?
