Re: what is this ?
Well I went to wall mart and they did a gum out fuel injector cleaner treatment and they took off this hose from that black circular object and they said the hose connects to my intake manifold . Does it really connect to my intake manifold by the firewall ?
I was just wondering what that black thing was behind my brake resvoir

Re: what is this ?
Run some good fuel in your fuel tank( I've been using Chevron with 91 techron and have noticed good improvements over cheaper gasoline places) and also put some seafoam in there. Sounds like all they did was decarbonize your inakes and valves which is also good for your car, but for $8 you could of done it yourself. Just pick up a couple of cans of seafoam and follow the directions and you'll be set and have more money and a better running car. the GM stuff aint half bad either, they use both at the nissan dealership my friend works at
i like the BG because it is a full system cleaner, fuel additive for the injectors and what we do is hook up a spray nozzle right at the TB and spray it from there, that way it cleans everything.
The treatment they did at the wally world is close to pointless. As stated the hose connects to the back of the manifold, and therefore only cleans the rear of the engine. BG being sprayed from the front makes sure it hits all the cyls. i noticed a mile and a half per gallon difference when i did mine.
there was some news station in like new york or chicago or somehting that did a test of fuel system cleaners and additives and on day ten they tried the BG treatment and noticed the biggest difference in milage. A plus to using BG is they warranty the part they treat. Like if you do a transmission service and your tranny takes a big dump they cover cost up to $4000, yeah, i know, this is just one big BG advertisement, but the stuff works. ill quit now.Team NoVa

my frieds dealership was also testing oils, and after numerous tests they welt with valvoline (i have said that before) but the valvoline guy said that their synthetic oil is good for like 10,000 miles, and told me friend if his engine broke in that mileage he would replace it (of course a problem related to the oil)
