probably air got into the system, just keep refilling it and see if it stops going low

i used over a bottle of antifreeze before mine stopped sucking it up

also, im not sure where your location is, but i would NOT be using water to top it off especially if you are in ohio, go and buy some 50/50 mix and use that

I was losing mine for a while and couldn't seemt o find out where it was going. had it pressure tested etc and still couldn't figure out where it was going. Now I'm going to be pulling the heads off, because I have a feeling it's burning through the exhaust, even though it's not smoking

If you haven't change your coolant before you had this problem, then you definitely have a LEAK,it could be going in the overflow then unto the ground,I could be going in the cylinder/s but may not be that amount to cause the car to white smoke,it could also be going inside the car on the carpet from the Heater.

            did you test the cap?

my friend had a mysterious coolant leak on his car and it turns out the cap could only hold like 5 lbs

fwiw, I had similar problem last year...every couple of weeks adding a glass of coolant.
After several months, it got worse...ended up being a bad intake manifold gasket.

i had the same problem. bad plenum gasket, when i took it apart the area around where the coolant goes into the TB was all rusty and corroded. i ended up ruining a good set of heads because i forgot to check it...
