  • 3.4 idling at 1100 rpms

So my brother said the 3.4 is idling around between 1000-1100, it used to be 800-900 IIRC. Any ideas? When it gets warmed up it idles fine. Thanks in advance.

LOL seems like alot of people are having idling issues i just posted on another topic about this but ill give you my advice and how to fix it. When i was iding high i was around 2k which is wayyyy higher and I had an enormous vacuum leak check your vacuum lines listen for a hissing and listen close remember to key out your alternator. Next like i said to the last guy check your Intake manifold gasket which is a royal pain in the A$$ to get too But you can hear id down there sucking air around the intake manifold. I have a 3.4 took me a while to switch out the gaskett. But 1100 just sounds like a small vacuum leak nothing to major. Lets just hope its up top also one last thing check the throttle body gasket listen for for a hissing sound around there too where the gasket is
